Hi All,

I’m in the process of redoing the bathroom.

Main change really is moving the sink to the adjacent wall.

I’m stuck on the waste as it has been above the floor boards.

I need to get a shower waste and the sink waste over to the existing waste.

The shower tray will have riser kit but that only goes up to around 10cm and the pre-existing waste is already at 8cm high.

What do you guys suggest would be best way to route the sink and shower waste?

First, don't use a riser kit - they are a leak waiting to happen. Create a proper wooden plinth with an 18mm Ply/OSB3 top to it. Also think about the floor and the footprint of the shower, given it's P5 board then the last thing needed is leaks.

Where does the waste outflow run out to? Can the outflow be lowered?

Basin and Shower on the same waste run can be a future issue too. Ideally it would be a 50mm pipe where they connect and antivac trap on the basin if it's to be shared..

This is a picture of the waste outlet from outside where it runs to the stack. Problem I have is that below existing waste there is a 9x2 joist approx 2m long

Can you drill through the centre of the joist and then upsize to 50mm and alter the soil pipe outside?
