Waste stack offset

I’m working in an apartment on the top floor of a 4 story building. The sink connects to an internal waste stack that descends vertically to the bottom of the building. There is an offset in the waste stack just below where the basin connects to the stack.

From H 1 1.27 of building regs “Offsets in the 'wet' portion of a discharge stack should be avoided.”

Anybody know if the offset could ever be considered a breach of building regulations?

There are dimension for connections close to other connections. See diagram 2, or refer to the manufacturer's guidelines.

Here’s a photo. What do you reckon?

Oh, I thought you meant an offset branch connection.

As its only basin waste and the pipe above is just venting, it would be acceptable.

The unclipped CH pipes would be more concerning!

This is acceptable, definitely not a breach in building regs.
