Hi, just joined so go easy on me !!!

I have just installed a Mira Sport 8kw. This is fed directly off the mains supply from the loft. I have a combi boiler with no water tank in the loft.

Problem is that water to shower cuts off when toilets are flushed / taps are run etc etc. Real pain, especially when the kids do it to "wind me up" when I am in the shower !!

Is there any solution for this ?

Any help would be appeciated.
thanks.

Not with that, or any mains water fed shower  Only idea I`ve got is a cold storage cistern in the loft .....feeding a Triton shower that has the electric element like the mira with an internal pump that draws water from the new storage, have a look @ their website

OK Thanks.

Year 2006 and I can't take a shower when someone's taking a dump!!! Technology !!!

If I were to install a water tank, what would be the minum size I would require to feed a shower.

Thanks

Check the basics - is your mains stop cock fully on. If there is any restriction in flow , you won't notice it if only one thing is on but with two, you start getting the effct you are getting.

Have you got service valves on the loo and the downstairs taps - try turning these down a bit to restict the flow to the most troublesome item, so they don't take too much from the shower.
