My bathroom has developed an incredible banging when the hot water bath tap is turned halfway on. Could any one tell me why this has developed? what causes it ?and how I might get rid of it? Thanks

It could in that case be the insides of the tap moving about. Try greasing the jumper.

Thanks Chris. I checked the taps and the jumper was rattling a bit. I tried a different tap and this stopped the banging. I also removed a piece of pipework that had been blanked off. I believe air may have been trapped in this piece of pipe. the combination of dodgy taps and trapped air may have caused the problem. things seem ok now without changing the taps.
