Honestly Bod, I 100percent agree with you. But those replica fittings blow off even with the so called locking ring in position. I wouldn't have believed it myself if I hadn't seen it.
I think during lockdown ppl used them because they had trouble getting JGS and they look so similar. But they're a bloody nightmare.

In our trade we pull up boards and work with what we have to work with. If I can't identify the brand I have converted to my choice (JG or Hep) with a compression fitting.

I see scratched pipe, no sleeves, pipe cut with hacksaw. It's criminal what the pushfit plumbers get away with.
