Hello, I’m wanting to run the mains water supply for my oil boiler to the end of my garden inside a outbuilding roughly 25-30ft away can I use mdpe pipe then change to copper to the boiler or does it need to be hep20 barrier pipe like the rest of my plumbing any advice would be great.

Do you mean that you want to run a pipe that will only carry fresh cold water to say an outside tap or sink or something ? if so use anything you like it will not be part of your heating circuit so doesnt need to be barrier

if it is just carrying the cold water main to the boiler it does not need to be barrier, MDPE is fine
