hi,

we've got an Ariston eurocombi gas boiler which works ok most of the time but has recently started failing (every two weeks or so) with insufficient system pressure led lighting up. The fix until now was to reset the boiler, but hasn't worked this time. at least not yet.

The system pressure is about 1.2 bar when cold.

Got the service engineer in to service it the other month, thought maybe that was all it needed, though I didn't mention this specifically as a problem.

Now the led comes on after about a minute of being turned on, anybody know anything I could try?

Forgot to mention that its not losing any pressure, its pretty constant. Should I go higher than 1.2 bar?

cheers

most combi's are 1- 1.5 bar cold...what does it say in the book?...If you don't have one take it up to 1.4 and try it. I've a feeling they are 1.5 bar cold.

i agree take it to around 1.4 or 1.5 some combi boilers still work on 1 bar but the light comes on early around 1.2.

thats done it, thanks both for your help. Had always worked on a lower pressure before, but raised the pressure to 1.4 and it worked straight off.

thanks again.
