Our kitchen tap is located about 1 metre from the main water pipe into the house. The tap has to be used very gingerly, if you open it too much the water comes blasting out and makes a right mess. As they are only quarter turn ceramic disc taps, it's all too easy to go over halfway and get soaked! :x

Is there any way to reduce the pressure coming in, or is there a fitting that will reduce the flow?

Pressure Reducing Valve from PTS ......under £25.oo .........pressure and flow are not the same ........like Volts and Amps  and Boyle`s Law

Alternatively flow regulator from BES around £6 or less from what I remember (which isn't much. Er,..... what was the question :? )
