I'm planning to get a salt based water softener installed at my property as I live in a very hard water area. I spoke to Ideal who advised me that my Logic+ 24 system boiler has an aluminium heat exchanger and therefore should not be run on softened water, however I wanted to check whether Unvented Water Cylinder's do not have the same considerations? I know there isn't a heat exchanger but I thought I'd get some advice here just to check I haven't missed anything
