Installed a new Baxi Duotech Combi 26 six months ago and now find that the water supply in the house comes for about 10 seconds about 6 times during the night and also during the day. Everything but the c.heating is switched off and no leaks in radiators/taps/cisterns or other appliances. Does anyone know why? Is it a fault in the new boiler. Also when you switch off hot water in kitchen the sound of water supply is still heard for about 10 seconds filling up somewhere?/?/??????? Have asked about before going on holiday but fault still occurs having had everything switched off for three+ weeks.

Sounds as if you have a DHW preheat switched on. See user book if you what to turn it off.

The 10 secs of flowing may be caused by a "deadleg" See the FAQ for this.

What dilalio says - our toilet does this when the flush seal gets a bit limescaled letting water through, then the cistern fills up again.
