I have started to build a shower 'wet room' whereby I intend to build my own base using plywood and a morter mix then tiles. I need to put a PVC waterproof membrane down under the morter and use the correct drain for it.

There are plenty of articles on doing this but they are all USA based, question is: where in the UK can I obtain the waterproof membrane (thought about using Pond Liner) but I'd rather use the proper materials.

The drain I can obtain from Plumb Centre

Anyone have any ideas?? :?:

what is wrong with a pond liner most come with a guarantte, i also think the only dffernce is pond liners are thicker , but dont use butyl as it is rubber it will "give" and your tiles will lift

Cheers Breezer, I may well use a pond liner (not the rubber type) It's just that it has to be a 'right first time' job as the shower will be above the lounge and I don't want any leaks...
