WC Connector to waste pipe

Hi

Is there some kind of seal I can get to fill the gap between the connector and the soil pipe?

Or do we still use cement?

The fin end of the pan connector need to be push into drain pipe about 3 inch down.

The gap can be fill with sand/cement or plumber putty.
