WC Pan Connector, how do I do this?

Hi all,

Hopefully a helpful diagram but can take photos if needed!

I'm sure there's an easy answer to this one, I'm just a bit stuck and want to make sure it's right.

I have fitted a new toilet and unit, the existing pipe in the wall (orange) is further back as the new unit brings the toilet forward. I've got a McAlpine Toilet Pan Connector (red), but distance between the inlet on this and the toilet out (grey line) is around 200mm, although expect a fitting to need to be slightly longer to actually connect.

What product do I need? (I saw this one but i'm not sure if it's correct way of doing it)

I know there are flexi's but read that you shouldn't use where possible, and a rigid straight would be better? Is there any truth to this, or is this the easy answer?

Swap the red bit in your picture for soil pipe

Apologies, complete novice and I might have bitten off a bit more than I can chew with ripping this bathroom out, last bit now though.

Ok so connect new soil pipe to existing, then use a straight connector between toilet and new soil pipe?

My only problem with connecting a new piece of soil pipe is that the distance between the existing (orange) and the wall is there is barely any clearance, which is why the McAlpine worked well as it went inside the pipe rather than around it. Is there any way of adding pipe with an internal pushfit connection?

I think so, at worst I suppose I'll just remove some tile. It's all inside a unit so not the end of the world anyway.

Don't forget to chamfer the end of the existing pipe before trying to fit a coupler onto it, or you'll push the seal out and it'll leak....

Chamfered too, glad you called that or I’d have had a nightmare getting it on
