So I was meant to relay our garden slabs nearly over a year ago now however haven't had the time to get to it until now, as the weather is getting better. Had a separate post on a different query (https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/laying-paving-slabs-in-garden.615167/).
Hopefully as now I am eager to get on with it, is/would there be any benefit to laying down weed control fabric, given I could excavate down a depth of 5 inches to lay it?
If I do lay the fabric, I would also need to hire a compactor most likely to then compact back the soil/sand mix before laying a bed of mortar for slabs.
Any suggestions appreciated!
