Hi chaps,

I have just replaced a radiator and valves. When removing the old valve i had trouble removing the olive on the pipes coming out of the floor. I did manage to fit the new valves and rad though and all works fine. Howere, there is a tiny amount of water seeping through the nut on the bottom of on of the valves (presumably where the pipe was damaged). It isnt enough to create a drip but there is always water there. I'm hoping that the impurities in the water will create a seal after a while and stop this. Am i right to think this or will it get worse? If so is it just a case of cutting back the 2 pipes that come from the concete floor? I'm worried about doing this as they are only 6 inches long and if i balls it up i'll be stuck!

Any help / advice would be appreciated!!

Tom

they could seal them selves as you sugested ,if not undo nuts and put a few wraps of PTFE tape over the olive and retighten.
