Hi all,

I have a leakage from a pipe which look like a nosal/nobe on car/bikes tyre which you press to release the air.

I dont know where the pipe is comming from as i can only see the little nobe/nosal which is poping out from a hole in the roof in the kitchen.

Any help or advice...please!

Many thanks in advance

It may be the air charge point for an expansion vessel which someone has fitted into your ceiling.

Before you touch it I suggest that you investigate from above to see what it may be. Take a photo and post it here and we can all guess at what it is!

Thanks Tony for your swift response.

I called in a plumber to look at it....he said he can't tell as their are tiles above the leakage area etc and he can't view the area properly he said that I shud ask a builder to break the tiles and than show it to a plumber etc.

I will have to arrange for a builder or perhpas show it to another plumber incase any alternative...

once again thanks for your help.

Cheers

If the tiles are on the floor above then its cheaper/easier to investigate through the ceiling.

Thats an easy DIY to make an access. I suggest about 300 mm away but in the same line as the joists then use a light and mirror to look at it or photo and post here for us!

Righ now Im at work...I will take photos wen i go home.

Im taking another guy with me to show him and will suggest if it is easier to find a way from the ceiling rather than from the roof above.

Thank you Tony.
