Weird metal plate discovered behind plasterboard

I’m in the process of redoing my attic conversion and have found this metal plate behind some plasterboard. It is inserted into the brickwork below the chimney stack on the party wall. Can anyone enlighten me as to what it is??

Unscrew it and look inside.

It looks like a flue sweeping door so you can get the brushes in.....behind the plate is a baffle, then access to the flue.

Ah ok that explains it. Thought it would be something to do with the flue/chimney but thought it was odd that it was behind the plasterboard!!
