Hi,

Moved into a 4-bed Edwardian (1906) terraced house. For the past few weeks I've been hearing a mysterious squawking sound, in different rooms (kitchen, living room, upstairs back bedroom) at different times. Audio and separate video below.

When they happen, they are precisely 31 seconds apart. They might go on for 20 mins or so. The sound seems to emanate from the floor or low down in the wall. The sound is consistent: does not vary at all.

It's just weird that the sound moves around the house.

I have suspected it's the central heating. It's a 5 year old boiler but the pipework is microbore. But the nature of the noise makes me think it isn't. I also don't think it's a squawking animal with a 31 second egg timer.

Any ideas? A ghost?

Maybe something on the hot water circuit as it’s a closed circuit and contents will repeat path at consistent pace . Try turning the pump speed up or down to see if it changes frequency.

Also, whats the system pressure like?
It sounds like water squirting in the 2nd file, as the waters being pumped you may have a leak.

Can you sit by the boiler/pump and listen for it?
