welder? what sort

hi

i'm thinking of getting a welder for various tasks.

the first of which is to repair the subframe on my car. (don't worry it's old and knackered so if i ruin it it's no big deal!!)

but other than that there is going to be some sheet metalwork and probably some other bits and pieces.

so what is the best bet: mig arc or an inverter??

what is the easiyest to learn on?

MIG is ideal for what you want.
Dont go for a gasless one as they're pants, and you really want something atleast 150 amps.
Best bet is to look out for a secondhand one.
