Funny how thier atittude has changed, talk about two bloody faced

CORGI going back to its roots, with membership schemes under new management.

From May 2010 onwards CORGI Memberships are now being managed by Dave Berry and John Martin, the Membership team would appreciate it if you could take the time to read the following statement:

John Martin and Dave Berry of Benchmark Certification Limited will manage CORGI’s CPS, MCS, Gas and ECS Membership and Training Schemes under license from CORGI Services Limited. Instead of shared services between the different CORGI businesses, the Memberships now sit as a separate entity, with a new Membership contact team and number, to be closely followed by a specific membership site and further developments throughout 2010.

CORGI said that 'they are delighted to have reached agreement with Benchmark Certification Limited and look forward to working with them in the future to help deliver a number of benefits'.

We are looking to take CORGI Memberships back to their roots where the installer is more than just a member, where support is paramount and where being a member is akin to being part of a supportive family network. It is recognised we have much work to do, and while the CORGI brand continues to be extremely well recognised by the general public, the membership schemes need to offer a level of appeal and support to the industry that has lapsed over recent months.

We have no desire to muddy the waters or hinder Gas Safe Register in building their brand and will look to work with them wherever this is possible. We have a number of new initiatives to launch later in the year once we have settled into the role and the membership renewals have been processed

We Both started our careers as installers and have been involved at many levels within the industry each having nearly 30 years experience.

Our plans are as follows:-

We have introduced a new contact team dedicated to the memberships and not shared with any other part of the business, and our response rate has improved overnight, try us on 0844 8794798
We will issue photo ID cards as our members have requested
We continue to offer technical support in all areas including renewables, not just reading you the standards...
We will continue to offer legal advice from qualified lawyers for any business or personal issues
We will replace the existing website with one specifically for our members and their customers
We will deliver work by bringing customers to the new site via a national marketing campaign, giving our members FREE work leads
We will re-introduce focus groups and installer events so that you can have your say, if you want to contact us now with your views drop us an email at [email protected]
We will seek out partners to offer our membership benefits. We are developing a network of partner centres who will enhance our delivery of services and provide member offers, we offer 50% of AA membership, with more benefits to come throughout the year. Let us know what is important to you as a member
We will look at further ways to combine our memberships and offer price reductions, for example Free trade Membership with CPS, or CPS for £150 with MCS...
We will review the current notification site and look to replace this
We will represent YOUR views at Industry committees etc giving you a strong voice and getting you heard
Most importantly we accept that it has been a tough year for the industry and that CORGI customers have felt let-down and disappointed by the service delivered during that time. However in 2010 we plan to make amends, but can only do so with your feedback and continued support.
We hope to bring a common sense approach to the business, concentrating on member support and services as well as linking schemes to achieve maximum cost savings. We will also be seeking the views of members as we develop their membership benefits, and although we realise these things are easy to say, we are committed to delivering on this and protecting this household name, synonymous with quality and service with the general public.

Anyone considering any of our membership schemes, join now and be part of the CORGI revival. Visit www.corgi-membership.com, email [email protected] or call 0844 8794798 for more information.

Best Regards,

John Martin and David Berry
