Tories have been in power for the last 14 years.
The older members on DIYnot often forget that. We have Priti useless manning the fort now. Nowt has changed regards illegals, except that it has never been easier for any old migrant or refugee to enter the UK.

Perhaps she should consider paying her bills.

was not uncontrolled yet labour never recorded or tracked them now that is a very strange way of saying it was uncontrolled . They never had a clue how many immigrants came so by that it is self evident it was uncontrolled

So you are blaming the UK govt for not controlling immigration, not that immigration could not be controlled due to EU membership.

you’ve shot yerself in da foot.

It is easy to forget just how much immigration and asylum haunted Downing Street throughout New Labour’s time in office. Between 1997 and 2010, net annual immigration quadrupled, and the UK population was boosted by more than 2.2 million immigrants, more than twice the population of Birmingham. In Labour’s last term in government, 2005-2010, net migration reached on average 247,000 a year.

Yet there are jobs still available.

Coming here doing our jobs. The nerve.

Er, it's actually 11 years, but it does seem longer. They're very efficient, managing to fit far more damage to The UK in 11 years than Blair/Brown managed in 13 years. Getting even better at it, Johnson is wrecking the economy and he's only been PM 2 years.

That's progress for you!

IMF predicting UK will have the highest growth in the G7 this year.

Not at all

the UK has needed immigration to fuel its economy.

I suggest you look at the ratio of retired to working age demographic for the UK.

Tory and Labour have both encouraged high net immigration for this reason…..whilst simultaneously claiming to be tough on immigration.

we’ve been through this.

it’s only because the UK was damaged far worse last year, so it’s starting from a lower point.

UK 2020 -9.8

EU 202 -6.3

No, they are predicting UK growth to be worse than Greece.

cause = Brexit.

“In its twice-yearly World Economic Outlook, the IMF sharply reduced its UK long-term growth outlook, from an estimated annual growth rate of 1.9 per cent to 1.7 per cent. The forecasts show the UK trailing Greece over the next five years. The IMF is now predicting 11.5 per cent growth in Greece during the period, compared with 10.3 per cent in Britain”
