Hi all,

Been looking on the forum a while so thanks to everybody who posts, I’ve been given some great ideas and advice.

I now have a quick question. I’m just about to start a strip of fencing (14 bays) using concrete posts. The fence will be 6ft panels and 1ft gravel board.

Coming off the first bay I will be attaching a 6ft(H) x 4ft(W) gate. This will be a double gate with the other panel coming off the side of the house.

My question is should the gate be attached to:

1) The concrete end post directly
2) A wooden post bolted to the concrete post
3) A separate 4x4 wooden post buried and cemented in next to the concrete end post
4) Something else

Thanks in advance for your advice on this!
