No idea either, but orange cables mean high current and voltage. This one is probably part of the 4WD system as it’s in the back.

Yeah, be very wary of anything orange. High voltage. Salvage Rebuilds bought a hybrid with issues and had to send it to a specialist.
Complete mystery to me, but I can't understand why these things are literally just thousands of little torch batteries joined together. I think that Elon bloke just bought up a load from the pound shop and glued them all together.

That is the super dooper booster unit for the air wrench in the background. Introduced by Sadiq Khan enterprises to get around the new air tax introduced by the Conservatives to help balance the books.
As others have said, that's Electric Vehicle powertrain stuff, and the big orange wires are high voltage *could be up to about 400V). At a guess, I'd say the thing on the left was the inverter, which will take DC from the battery and convert to AC for the motor, controlling the power and speed of the motor.
The thing in the middle might be a DC-DC converter, as it looks like it might be connected to the 12V battery. It just mimics an alternator, taking 400V from the traction battery and stepping it down to about 14, to keep the 12V battery topped up.
No idea about the thing on the right. Possibly the top of the rear motor?

For anyone out there who likes their old cars, Tasty Classics has just made a new video of a Rover P4 100 that's sat (and been botched) for decades, but he uses his unconventional approach, a lot of Plus Gas and fair bit of brute force to bring Aunty back to life. It's a long video but Ben's sense of humour makes it watchable. One of my favourite cars, used to own one in 80s/90s - unfortunately the 80 with 4 cyl early, pre series Land Rover engine.
