I need to fix some new kitchen cabinet hinges, but need to find some new versions of these "caps" that fit into pre-drilled holes. Without them, the screws don't have enough depth for traction.
Anybody know what they are called? I can't find them online anywhere!
I know that its not their main use, but wouldn't it still achieve the same finish? Although using these you will have to drill out the hole a bit more, but its better than nothing if you can't find the part you're looking for!
Sharp chisel and chop top off any remaining, fill with a matchstick/glue and then you can use short wood screws.
Or purchase self locking hinges and no screws required.
