Each to their own, but "stunning" is not the first word that comes to mind.

Me personally, if I had the money, I'd have a house built to the highest modern spec, but with reclaimed materials so as to make it look old. Country cottage style.

May be two opposing requirements though.

It’s subjective. I’ve just about finished my modern Victorian house now.
