What are your thoughts on ...

Police are NOT allowed to use entrapment.

Tell that to them then conny (in fact CEOPS use very similar methods as Letz go Hunting use).

And why shouldn't they? after all the police answer to the IPCC and everyone else, whereas your thugs answer to no-one !

If they answer to the IPCC, does that mean they are regulated by them? If so it sounds like red tape to me in that the police are being hamstrung and not being able to do what is best for the general public.

There was and maybe still a US programme where they pose as underage girls who meet men online and set up a online relationship... the supposed underage girl states clearly how old she is and invites the male around to her house... and when he arrives is met by a camera crew and police there to arrest him it is aired on their show.. not only is feeling the law against him it is also there for the whole public to see what type of men these are ... maybe this is entrapment but if it saves one kid its worth it

Entertainment value alone would I think be a great hit, having the bonus effect of protecting our children would be the icing on the cake.

This is interesting. How long before such a show appears over here?

Seriously, I'm not sure what the drawbacks of 'entrapment' might be. It's like those instances where attractive cars are left unlocked then, when a thief tries to nick them, they are locked and the thief is filmed by hidden cameras until the cops arrive.

None of this is entrapment anyway.

It's only entrapment if someone is led into a situation they had no previous intention of being in in the first place.

A predatory paedophile will have an intention of talking to kids. The under cover bods will not offer any sexual behaviour but wait for the paedo to ask for it.

It's a bit like undercover cops posing as prostitutes and kerb crawlers, whichever persona they adopt, they wont mention sexual services at all but wait till the suspect does. Then nick 'em.

Just saying it's NOT entrapment.

statistically there are more paedos working as doctors than any other profession. Flies around a honey pot.

statistically, 85.7% of the things Joe says are just made up with no evidence.

There is evidence if you look for it. Don't want to kick your ass or you'll delete the thread.

Pediatricians should all be women

Britain's most notorious child killer is a woman. :o :o :o I just thought I'd mention that. Yes, I know most criminals - of all types - are men, but the possession of two X chromosomes doesn't guarantee that their owner can be trusted with your children.

No but as a general principle it makes sense.
