I installed this telescopic hob extractor and although a recirculation I am a bit concerned with the hot air that will be coming out of it.

Usual with a chimney type the air is recirculated and gets directed at the front of the hood.

Now with this what do I do if I leave it like this and obviously box it up the warm air will get directed directly above and will eventually cause the ceiling paint to peel.

I cannot direct it outside the property as on the back of the extractor is a different property and to the right of the extractor that is towards the window, the ceiling is really low and the window lintel is on the way so I cannot drill

I can get a flex aluminium pipe and direct the the air flow right above the kitchen wall units and to the right.

What would you do?

Mine has rectangular ducting above the kitchen cupboards, taking the air outside.

You can use a round to rectangular pipe and direct it where ever you want.

Could be a radical solution but a 90 degree round to a round to rectangle adapter that you can then turn the rectangle duct biggest flat side to the wall and run that through the wall units and exit through the wall under the lintel - at a save distance needed - the rectangle stuff is 50 x100 mm so should not be a structural problem ???
I think you first need to run it to the wall then right so the duct is flat against the wall inside the units. A small loss of unit space is a sacrifice worth making to remove all the moisture and smell.
Do away with the telescopic chimney and blank off the area with a matching door.

But the room will still fill with steam, cooking vapours, smells etc.
Yes I completely asgree it's another reason why recirculaing extractors are a waste of time . They don't actually extract anything. My answer was aimed at what i thought was his concern about getting a damp ceiling
