And only Geminox make a boiler which modulates lower than that. It's about time all boiler manufacturers woke up to the fact that heating requirements are getting smaller and smaller.
I visited some nearby new builds and the 4-bed houses with two bathrooms were fitted with 12kW boilers and Range Tribune cylinders. 12kW is obviously chosen for the HW cylinder heat-up as it is probably well above the heating requirement, if my 4-bed house is anything to go by. It has been loft and cavity insulated and the windows are all double glazed. The calculated heat loss is only 6kW, but it has 13kW of original rads and the original 15kW boiler.
