Can anyone help me with this???

Also, should I put a layer of hardborad down before I put the underlay down??

you only need plywood (dont use hardboard) if your floorboards are uneven.

Timbermate is a very good underlay that you can get with a built in dpm for the concrete and without the dpm for the floorboards side. Have a look around the 'woodyoulike' website.

Hi

Is there any reason why I should not use hardboard, the only reason I say is because I have taken up the old laminate and I have hardboard underneath already.

Cheers

more for future reference. Most floor coverings need plywood down so there not much point in puting hard board down when it may need to be replaced in the future.
Also hardboard is unstable, but if it has been down a while there will not be a problem. Basically if it is already down, dont worry about it! it will do.
