What food would you want served at your funeral reception?

Sounds like the sort of question a gangster might ask.
The best funerals are Irish, they are arranged within few days, you can view the body (open coffin) and you are properly fed (several courses spread over the afternoon) and watered. As an Englishman some of the best social gatherings I have to been to are Irish funerals. Their organisation puts us to shame.
Yeah, I really don't get the idea we have of keeping the dead person in a fridge for weeks and filling their body with toxic preservatives, the whole thing is a very weird and highly profitable industry here. Other cultures seem far more practical about the whole thing.
