Temp solution until I pay someone next Summer to fit a replacement chimney pot.
Multi-cracked pot held together with chicken wire. Some ingress of water when it rains.
Liner etc holding it in place too.
No H&S/Public Liability issues due to location.
I intend to line chimney pot with clearance-fit sleeve, & "glue" all the bits together. Then I can fit my third flexi flue liner in 25yrs.
Can someone please suggest a cheap material to use for bonding, other than cement-based.
I expect an epoxy resin would be expensive, the amount I`d need. I no longer have access to litre tins of that from work.
What about fibreglass matt & resin?
Re heat transfer: Distance from chimney cap down to stove is 6 metres.
Thanks in anticipation.
