What goes behind the blanking plate?

Hi,

I would like to block off an exisiting single surface mounted socket with a blanking plate. It is located under a radiator and isn't the easiest thing to access for use so I have created a spur to a better position from another socket. The socket I want to blank is on the ring main and already feeds a spur that I want to keep.

Please could you advise how I should "cap" the wires from the 3 cables behind the blanking plate to maintain the spur and accessability. I have seen some posts about 30A terminal blocks - is this the correct approach?

Many thanks in advance!
