What have you bought today?

2 tickets for the Radio 2 in the Park at Hylands park, Chelmsford.

Then realised I had bought general standing tickets. Applied for a refund, fook knows when I’ll get that.

Then bought another 2 tickets for the Radio 2 in the park at Hylands park, Chelmsford - 'bring your own chair' tickets! Sod standing up all day!

Mrs S has bought tickets for Rick Wakeman for my birthday. Well, a late birthday present.

Looking forward to that!

Did I hear on the Radio yesterday that Manic Street Preachers are playing there?

Doesn’t say so here:

Yea, it’s TVR’s 4.0L Speed 6 engine. 2003 so one of the more mature car/engines…I think all the earlier ones have needed a rebuild by now. This one hasn’t had a rebuilt but with 41k miles, fsh and it’s wanted for nothing in terms of other bits. It runs lovely but is insanely loud because the previous owner modded it with ‘shark’ can exhausts.

I know this is a resurrection of a comment from years ago. But a Youtube video about the Tuscan appeared yesterday evening in my feed. I'm not very technical, but it seemed to be saying that there were two major problems with the TVR own design engines. Lack of lubrication due to cost cutting, and an innovative way of opening the valves which is usually used in motorcycles. I have to say, when I first read that TVR were going to design and build their own engines, I did worry that it was insanely ambitious for such a small company and could lead to disaster.

Yes that’s pretty much correct. Shame it didn’t work out for the company, they made some beautiful machines.

Was that the 'chocolate' engine?

The other week in Sainsburys, I had to buy some soup. £1.70 a can or 4 cans for a fiver. Not a bad deal.

However, on the very shelf above was this:

Do they think people are stupid?
