Problem is it doesn't end there, while the g/box is off it will be a case of 'it's mad not to replace the clutch while the box is off', which is true.

My mate took his Transit into a garage to have the concentric release bearing replaced (I replaced it for him when I still had my workshop). It’s still under warranty so he's got to get the invoice and claim the price of the part back plus some of the labour but while the gearbox was out, they suggested fitting a new clutch centre plate as it had done just over 50k and was about 70% worn. Pressure plate and DMF were okay but they charged him £200 to supply and fit the plate. I thought that was a bit expensive but he was happy enough and says the clutch is as light as a feather now.
