What have you bought today?

I prefer having a higher speed fibre connection, whether I actually fully utilise its capabilities or not I couldn't really care. I certainly wouldn't be dropping back down to a solution that runs over copper, which is the only other option in my area.

The main point is, that copper will not remain option for long, everyone will soon be forced over to fibre, like it or lump it - copper lines are going in the near future.

If my experience of UK infrastructure renewal is anything to go by, copper will be here for decades to come.

A rattan bistro set. We were going to buy it anyway from B&Q as they were the cheapest retailer selling it when all of a sudden they offered a 20% discount for club card holders. £80 saved.

It's called progress. Folk were forced off horse and cart in favour of the new fangled automobile.

We're paying £1350 p.w. for Mrs Motties mum. From Monday with the new NI rules and other rises, it’s going up £94 p.w.

We did think of taking the old duffer to the vets. However it seems it's not the done thing, so stuck with shelling out small piles of cash every week. For the money they charge, they don't even supply the bloody soap.

This evening I had a massive urge for sweet things, but I was just too lazy to go out. So I did a bit of Googling, and found that Deliveroo had a £12 off your first order offer if you spent £20. I got 12 Snickers, 2 Chocolate Oranges, a bag of fresh chocolate chip cookies and some posh cheesecake. It would have been just under £10, but I gave a £2 tip. No idea if that is a fair amount to tip as it's my first time. Arrived in ten minutes. It feels terribly lazy.

I only ordered all that to get to £20. Not eating it all tonight!
