What have you bought today?

Nothing yet. We have three Coops nearby who deliver with Deliveroo. I am trying to buy some sugar ring donuts, two multipacks of Snickers and two multipacks of Twix. But each Coop is missing one of the items. It is a frustrating process, because you only find out they are unavailable once you have placed the order and waited about five minutes for them to go and check the stock.
When they deliver it do you flirt with delivery woman? If you do don't talk about gas

:LOL::LOL::LOL:

I actually do get told off by my other half because I am naturally really funny and charming and they are just drawn to me. It's not flirting, though. Just natural charisma.

Normally, you would be reported for that. But I am in a good mood now because the order finally got accepted at the fifth attempt. Subbed the two Twix multipacks for one packet each of Biscoff and Tunnocks.

Lazy git! I’d never use any of those delivery services. Next doors girls have a coffee, yes a single coffee, delivered by them!

Not only lazy, but encouraging the black economy, more immigrants, and more illegal, illegally ridden e-bikes.

The only thing we sometimes get a delivery from is a bulk order from Iceland. Shopped for in person, but delivered by them, because it is simpler for frozen foods, and as said - then, only sometimes.

Bought a granite fire hearth for my log burner to stand on from Amazon. OMG a young girl delivered it and our drive is quite steep, she could hardly carry it. I just thought OMG I hope she doesn't leave it at the bottom of the drive, like a trooper she struggled up the drive with it. That's service for you.

Did you talk to her about gas?

Not quite the same kind of food delivery's as being discussed but when I broke my wrist that was the end of doing a big weekly shop in the supermarket, I had no choice but to sign up to getting food delivered (missus is unable to drive), its not so bad, generally most things get delivered, perhaps one item a week may not be available, the crap thing is sometimes the meat's have a crap expiry date. Not sure if I'll go back to a weekly shop tbh, it is mighty convenient.

It's a slippery slope. That's how we started.

I took on the duty of the weekly shop during covid and I've stuck at it. I always reach to the back of the shelf for the freshest goods with the longest dates. I even lift boxes out and take packaged veg from the bottom tray for the same reason. Plenty of others do the same. We leave the short dates for the lazy gits that have theirs delivered…
