Bought a new fireplace.

Don't know why, but in that list, there are 12 English BBC 1s plus a Scottish BBC1, a Welsh BBC1 and a NI BBC1.....

It's Freely, Internet streaming so not reliant on an aerial pointing towards your local transmitter, therefore you will receive all of them. Aerials and freview will be phased out over the next 10 years.Don't know why, but in that list, there are 12 English BBC 1s plus a Scottish BBC1, a Welsh BBC1 and a NI BBC1.....

It is how all TVs are going and going to be. Freely are still adding more channels and free view will be phased out as freely takes over. The aerial is a good option to watch live tv for sports as with streaming there is a few second lag. The aerial allows you to watch live with no lag.I've got the aerial plugged in as well as a Cat 6 cable.
Oddly, you can't get some channels on Freely that you can on Freeview, like ITV4+1.
But watching catch up is easier. As Mottie knows, I have some real issues trying to watch catch up on iPlayer. I often have to retune our fairly new LG 50" QNED TV to get it to work.
Freely is much easier to use and so far no fannying around.

You’ll end up in a neck brace.According to the sales guy in Richer Sounds, you also get channels via aerial that you wouldn't get over the tinterweb.
I'm still not sure about it being over the fireplace, but my lad has put a tilt down on it which will help.

Half a dozen acers for a project are on their way, along with 500 ltrs of q. compost and 150 Yorkshire worms, fat n' wriggly. Got a good price for them but found time on my hands to browse through Bonsai trees and find myself pondering whether or not to try again: i have no luck growing from seed but a full grown plant will make a strong man weep at the price.
An Acer campestre/Field Maple raft is one of the cheaper varieties, at less than £1000... I've seen some at over 10k!
Yeah, i've started off okay but at one stage or another they always fail on me. Too dry; too moist; too pruned, there's always something to go awry. The only safe solution i can see is to get one of those hideous artificial plants but i just couldn't bring myself to do that. There is a decent offer for three seedlings that's tempting me to give it the old college try, though.I grew some Acers from seed (I too was going to Bonsai, but couldn't bring myself to start cutting me little babbies!)
Start them off in the fridge, was what the instructions said.
So I did, and they grew![]()
