It has in our house, Lena watches ridiculous things so she goes in the bedroom to watch them.

For the past 4 weeks we have had no bedroom furniture and sleeping on the floor with our new mattress, nightmare especially when trying to get up and down with a fractured arm and a broken rib. I ditched our old bed and bedroom furniture as we had a new carpet fitted and I had painted the room out and fitted new skirting boards.

We’ve got the same, sort of, in reverse. We're having new carpet fitted in all three bedrooms, stairs and landing. Tomorrow they are doing the back bedroom, landing and stairs so the back bedroom furniture has been distributed into the other two. On Friday though, they are doing the other two bedrooms so we have to cram the beds, furniture and contents of all three bedrooms into the back bedroom. It’s going to be a bit chokka. When that’s done, we have to rebuild all the beds and fit the furniture back.

A new ISA. I hope!
Already have an ISA with Kent Reliance so very easy to open another so I opened a new account with them last night. Tried to pay into it straight away but my bank (Barclays) was telling me there was no such account. Probably too soon and out of banking hours. First thing this morning I tried again and it said account and name now match so I paid £20k into it and…….nothing so far! Always a tad worrying when money has left your account but not arrived where it is supposed to be. Mrs Mottie has also opened an account with them in the same way (she already has an account with them too) but she’s waiting till mine goes through before she sends hers!

Phew! All there now.

Tried to send money to Mrs Motties new account - account not found! Same as me, perhaps it takes a good few hours for the account to show up in the banking system?

I wouldn't sleep until it reached its destination. I am not brave enough to move anything out of my account unless I am buying something, incidently I lost a lot of sleep when I bought our new bedroom furniture !!!
