Had this last night.

Today we planned a day out visiting local town, intending to have a meal there, somewhere in the town centre. I did a bit of research, and found a pub, which offered basic food, as a plan B, intending to see if we could improve on the choice. We found nowhere offering anything we fancied, and so ended up in our plan B, only to find they would not begin serving until March. More looking around, and we found a little fish and chip shop, with an attached restaurant, ending up with F&C's.

I had steak and kidney pudding, chips, peas and gravy tonight from the chippy. I used to take all the kidney out because I can’t stand the texture. I didn’t need to bother today because Hollands don’t put much filling in these days. It was more like gravy inside than what I used to get years ago.

I thought you might be a vegan, being a Green.

I agree about texture. I can't stomach any big pieces of offal for that reason. But I always loved steak and kidney as long as the kidney bits weren't too big. And I love liver pate.

My worst experience of offal was Andouillette whilst on holiday in France. I’ll try anything once but that was an experience never to forget.
