You can get lagging such as Armaflex in very large sizes, mostly use on industrial pipes, but it is expensive and not sold in DIY sheds.

I'd wrap it in mineral wool quilt, retained with string or tape.

The loft insulation that is treated with Ecose (marked on the label. Soft, dark brown) does not shed irritant dust and fibres.

You can also buy insulated duct from places that sell air conditioning and ventilation supplies.

Decided on the manrose mf100t , can get for around £50, any recomendations on vent as going to come out if soffit so be facing down ?

Comes with 3 years warranty and not a bad price , would you also recomend aluminium insulated ducting that a few of the stores sell ?

Also would you fit back draft shutters in the ducting ? after the fan ?
