What is - CIE Fault - Texecom Premiere 24

Hello,

My alarm is displaying the fault.

CIE Fault.

I am unable to reset it.

In the log, i can see at around 8am, Power Restore, and AC Power Restore.


Was not at home at the time, the alarm was armed.

Have checked user guide, master user guide, and installation guide.

Cant find anything on this alarm code

CIE Fault.

Any ideas?

It isn't listed in the faults messages in the back of the manual, but I'm certain I've seen it in the engineers manual somewhere.

I beleive it means the main processor has crashed for some reason. It is pretty rare for this to happen tohugh.

It does go away if you power down the panel (mains and batteries) and re power it.

Fault cleared by loggin on as engineer, zones, and then confirming the zones.

I think its reset the EEPROM.


I did note that in the log there were two entries,

Power Restored, AC power Restored.

No Mains fail alarms or nothing.

Possible surge got the alarms knickers in a twist or something.

Sorted now though.

Anyone got a Hard copy of the Engineers manual? I downloaded it last time, but lost it when formatted PC. Now all i can find is the User guides and the installation manual.
