Wow, is your contractor blind? That is some of the worst gunning work I have seen.
20 minutes to apply, 3 hours to remove and rectify.
I am assuming that he used some kind of silicone product, which means that when you try to repaint the window sill on the right hand side you will get fisheyes in the paint.
As a decorator I groan when window fitters use silicone to seal uPVC to other surfaces that require painting. They could use MS polymers such as SikaFlex or CT1 but they cost a tenner a tube rather than a couple of quid for cheapo silicone.
