I have a Sime 100e boiler which has recently had the divertor valve changed. It has now started blowing the fuse when I run the hot water tap. I know that the safety thermostat got slightly wet during the job - is this the cause of the fault?

The DV was replaced Thursday by my plumber and it was running fine until last night? I did notice this morning that the safety thermostat was wet?

Well if you have any wet electrical components I would say that's your problem....usually the pcb board though.

Could be you have a leak caused by the original repair, sometimes disturbing connections causes others to fail. In any case a small amount of water will have evapourated by now so contact the repairer, if it's not a leak from the diverter valve you may have to pay some more, though a decent fitter may do it free under goodwill.
