Got some scaffolding erected (due to lofty conversion) and want to take advantage of this opportunity.

Subsequently, I want to ask, what jobs, should i undertake/inspect on the house while i have the this opportunity?

Just have a good look round. Roof, gutters, fascia, soffits, sealing around windows, check pointing of brickwork, any flashings.

Properly muck out the gutters. Ours are high and the hoover vac gutter cleaner the man uses thing doesn't work that well on the caked up stuff. It needs a hand in there to scrape out the aerial phosphate.

I repointed the 80 year old walls when I was in your situation.
I also rebuilt the chimney when I found out I could take bricks out of it by hand.
Also changed wooden fascia and soffit to upvc (and gutters).
And as I was there I sprayed the tiled roof with an anti vegetative.
Despite being in the shadow most of the day, it's still moss free.
In other words, do as much as you can.

Any plans for outside lights, CCTV, satellite dishes, TV aerials- so much easier fitting any of them when you have a nice solid platform to work from.
