A week ago I was taking a shower and it started to fill with water. I tapped on the drain and heard a sudden flush of water. Later i went downstairs and there was a constant drip from a light and a stain on the ceiling and the rug on the floar was drenched. After half an hour the dripping stopped. I turned on the shower upstairs and flushed the toilet and couldn't get it to drip again. For a week we have used the shower without a problem. Today worried about mold (my wife is pregnant) and damage to the wood i cut a hole in the ceiling. I had my wife run the water but the pipes do not feel damp. Above the stain was where the pipes met in an upsidown T. Also there is rusty metal where it goes into the PVC pipe. The around this connections looks like it has a little water stian though it seems fine.

What can i do or is this something I should call a plumber about. I can easily replace the sheatrock but i know nothing about plumbing.

Thanks
/Anders
