I used an acrylic primer and undercoat ( 2 coats) and then 2 top coats of acrylic eggshell...worked out fine for me.(don't forget to give a fine sanding between coats though)

I have two questions:

1) Is it ok to give an MDF sheet just a couple of coats of primer and not bother with any other paint, if the end result is supposed to be white (I believe that primer is usually white).

2) Who supplies cut to size and painted MDF panels in the London area?

Manyt Thanks.

Primer often in yellow or grey to contrast with final coat, white is usually off-white and not hard wearing enough to leave as is.Don't know of anyone who sell painted mdf in UK let alone London.
