Does it matter which countries passport you use to travel abroad (multiple citizenships) if the visa requirements are the same for all passports?

Depends on entry. If you have US citizenship then you should use that to travel to the US - saves the huge queues when you go through immigration.

Apart from (in)convenience, many variables here and a few pitfalls.
Same name on both passports?
Ability to have different API on separate flights?
Flying to countries that don't allow multiple citizenship?
Minors travelling alone/unaccompanied?
Travelling with other family members with differing nationalities?

In addition at certain times some nations aren't as popular as others, so despite visa requirements being the same 'up front' attitudes to different passports on the ground can be different.

There are other considerations.
If, as a EU citizen, you need consular assistance while in a non-EU country, all of the EU member countries are obliged to provide that consular assistance.

If, as a dual citizen, you are in need of consular assistance in one of those countries for which you hold citizenship, the other country for which you also hold citizenship are under no obligation to provide that consular assistance.
