What PIRs are these

Have been told these are ok and provide years of service. I know of a few houses with them in

Would you trust a 5 quid detector, specifically aimed at low market bulk install?

Something fitted as an afterthought?

But I forget your how old now? 14-15?
Never fitted a system in anger so to speak, nor had to guarantee and maintain it.

Well if you dont ask you dont learn.

I would not put one in my self , as i prefer the bosch. I am fitting my second full alarm on thursday consisting of -

ADE Honeywell gen 4 lcd
Novagard 4
Bosch blueline X4
2x maplin d/c.
2.1ah yuassa SLA
Roll of cqr 8 core
Cqr stainless steel pa double push

I will get there eventually. Dont you worry
:)

At a guess, probs been sparky/diy jobby, just cheap tat.

Borderline yale...only wired imo

Well dump the 2.1 battery. Put in a 7ah, or at least a 2.8.

Your clever enough or so you say, whats the standby with a 2.1 with that panel load?

Its the accenta mini not the metal tin. She says the mini looks smarter and smaller and will not have the metal. So no choice mate. 2.1 it is.

Ahh you never said mini.

So life in alarm would be about 3 hours in power cut.
Standby about 6

Do the calcs tomorrow and see how close I am.

Ive done them once and that sounds roughly spot on. Your good lol. Do you fit many domestic systems?

Mix of both.
But a little more than a Gen 4 :D

Smallest, believe it or not a Gardtec 580 panel connected to a water tank level monitor with a Flashguard sounder.

Biggest, Hmmm TS2500 all zones used. 1040
G502 G520 GD520 fully loaded.So thats 502/520/520 zones.
Scanny 9500 all 320 taken.
They are the major ones.
Latest stuff of course is remote UDL, customer interfaces. Links to CCTV and Access.

But I also do CCTV Fire Access and am a (rusty) Locksmith :D

Maths and English, a science and economics.

Then become a merchant banker.

That my little wannabe alarm engineer is the best advice you will ever get.

1. Visonic Fox
2. Aritech DR110
3. Racal Apollo
4. Racal 722??
5. Scantronic (Modern used shed loads of em)

Now these are from MY time in the industry!! (don't they make them anymore?)
