Hi guys,

Need to buy 2 radiators for 2 bedrooms and not sure what size and whether to get double or single?

I know this is just lazy, but without getting too detailed on house insulation properties etc, the rooms are 3.5x3.5m, and 1.8 x1.8m. Was just going to go for standard B&Q radiators, anyone object to this or could suggest somewhere else that is cheaper maybe?

Thanks

There are many rad calc sites on line where you can input all the room info to calc the btu / kw required. Google it :!:
Don't guess at rad sizes.

Thanks guys,

The radcalcs site is great. I now know what size radiators to get,m but where to buy them? Seem to be mixed views on B&Q. For those of you who don't like B&Q, where would you normally buy radiators for your jobs? Is Wickes any better? Screwfix?

Both quality and price please

I usually fit CentreRads from Plumbcentre, never had an issue and very good price. Lately I've fitted a couple of Purmo's (stocked in Plumbase) and Kudox Premium (Plumbfix/screwfix) the finish on both were slightly better than the Centrerads but at slight extra cost. I've never fitted any rad I've been dissatisfied with apart from the standard screwfix branded tat, they are nasty, but dont think they do them anymore thankfully.

Wickes are good. They are actually Quinn rads. Prefer these roundtop ones to the ones with grilles on top. They will deliver free.
