Hi

I need to do some drilling at a height of over 2 metres. I want to buy a suitable step ladder for the job.

Could anyone suggest a suitablr size. What would the the leg spread be at tha bottom.

ANny suggestions would be appreciated

Are the drill holes 2m off the floor, or do you need to stand 2m off the floor to do the drilling?
...and is this for home DIY use, or a work job (different standards apply to domestic, or professional use)?

If you could supply some more information, that would be useful.
Is this just a one-off use? (Hiring might be cheaper). Are you going to be doing lots of work at this height? (A work platform may be more suitable). Have you got somewhere suitable to store it?
Again is this for domestic use? (If not, HSE would probably require a work platform for sustained drilling at height).

... Or if you are just after a recommendation for a brand, then I'm quite happy with Lyte as well! ;)

I've got a 3 in 1 set which is really useful, in fact I probably use it as a mini extending ladder more often than as free standing steps.

If I was going to use steps for prolonged periods I'd probably get a set with flat treads for comfort though my set has D shaped treads so not bad.

The size that let's you reach what you need to reach

I use a triple extension skirting board ladder...
